Hmm, interesting point quadcam. Must confess, hadn't thought much about it, but here in the UK even seriously modified bikes aren't really a problem with most of our people in charge. We moan about our politicians running the country, but have to confess - though it hurts - the authorities are fairly relaxed on this point at least. Of course, if a bike's headstock collapses causing the forks to fly off and spear a granny crossing the road, the rider gets hammered, but seems to me that's a fair do. Are things really tough regards customised kit for you folks on the other side of the Channel? Brings to mind a true story from some years back; a friend of mine was brave enough to try riding down to Italy from the UK, on a tricked-up RD400, think it was round about the late 70's, early 80's. He was going to go through Switzerland, but guess what? The Swiss wouldn't even let him into the
