Since the 15 th of august, I've been riding a lot in France, from north to south and north to east.

First, I went to the french jura, the swiss jura to finish with the french alps.
1700 kilometers in 3 days with my wife.

Then, the weekend after, i came to the south west coast to visit some friends with my old sporty. 1300 kilometers in 2 days.

After 3 weeks at home, I came down to the south west again to visit my young sister and made 2200 kilometers in 4 days, down to spain.

Then I came back to Paris just for a night, to leave home again to the north coast of France, to a meeting with my wife and my bros. 800 kilometers more....

Cool, France is nice to ride (on the hollidays).

I have made 15000km's in france over the past years with the bike (not the sportster).
Mostly where the nature is best. Canyons (cirque de navacelles!!!-better be a experienced rider) and mountains.

I avoid the cities. Only for a day of rest we visit a town.
The hardest part is to park your bike with the full vacation stuff on it and leave the bike. We avoid that.
Yeeaarrss ago a man on a streetfighter-bike looked at my bike and telephoned. We saw that from a distance and watched. Looked like he wanted to steal it or was making plans (probably phoned for a bus?). So when it was obvious that he had plans we walked normal to our bikes. The man asked all sorts of stupid questions to us and left with his bike.
What if we went back 10 minutes later???
So on the hollidays, park your bike wisely.

Only the language I hardly understand. But "Un place pour une tente pour deux personnes"or something like that with more persons or tents, works. When the people answer back its hard to understand, they do not do that slowly.

Did you go to the motor-campings?

No, only guest houses when i'm with my wife.
When i ride alone, I do camping.....sometimes, on the side of the road.......
