Hi everyone,

Just a short piece in case any folks haven't seen the XR prototype. I went down to one of our dealers today where they had one in. Here's three pictures of said bike:



I rather like the thing, I think it looks leaner and meaner than the 883 version when you actually see it close up, despite the fact that it's really quite a bit larger. Some nice touches like the upside-down forks too, and the oil cooler as standard. Having said that, not too keen on the amount of plastic finishing on the bike. What do others think? Must sign off - laptop batteries are dying! - but will be back soon with the pics of the Sportster challenge I promised a few weeks ago,

Looks great with those rearset, USD, racey wheels, oilcooler and, and.....
Only those big exhausts, but Supertrapp & co will be working at that!
I'm wondering if or when it will come to the Netherlands.

It looks like a bike for not to long people because of the footcontrols.
And i miss the airfilter (Hamcan)

But overall it's a nice bike.... but not my first choice.

What are the prices for Sportster range in the UK and is the bike popular there?

Another quick message to say thanks for the replies - will take a look at the prices for the Sportster range here in the UK and get back to you. The dealer guy couldn't give me a price for the XR, though I did ask! For the bike itself I think I'm inclined to agree with Dutchman; nice bike but not my first choice. All the same, I asked about the BHP and was told maybe a genuine 90 or so, should make it fun to ride...
