OK, so here's the pic as promised (if I get the post right)! Just a quick shot of the bike in my garage, so not very inspiring. Hope to have some better photos soon, when I've done more than the couple of hundred miles on the clock
Will let you know how the thing goes after she's loosened up a bit more. To be fair though, so far so good, though it takes a little getting used to!

Quadcam - quite agree, I wasn't too keen when I first saw the bike ages ago (the prototype) but with being out of the UK for so long I just thought one day what the hell, I'll give it a go and if I don't like it I'll swap it again after a year or so. Too early for me to judge yet, but I'm getting the running-in done and I'm off up to the Thunder In The Glens rally at the end of August. That's the huge Scottish rally in the UK, so it should be a thousand miles riding or so which will be a good test of the bike. If any of you folks are coming over - it's a big rally, though unlike my mates it's the first time I've attended - would be great to see you in Aviemore! Will post more on the XR as I get the feel of it,

congrats with your new XR!

i havn't seen the XR " in the wild" but at the dealership i stared for 30 minutes at it!
i especially like the rear of the XR.

also i think the new XR is a blow in the face for eric Buell.. the sportster is back at his roods and will show the sportster clones (although the Buell's are very nice also) some the back of the Harley Davidson throats!
